BBSRC DTP funding is available for the  following projects:-

• Modelling the evolution of virulence in a bacterial pest control agent
(Professor V Jansen)
• The evolutionary ecology of plant / root bacteria symbioses: testing theory
to advance applications in solanaceous crops (Dr B Raymond)
• Modifying growth conditions of Basil to improve chilling resistance – an
integrated molecular and physiological approach (Dr A Stead)
• Elucidation of host processes required for the growth of biotrophic fungi
to uncouple stress-induced growth in wheat. (Dr Alessandra Devoto)
• Is there a different mode of action of effectors common to the wheat and
barley powdery mildews? (Dr L Bindschedler)
• Tomato fruit development and ripening; the characterisation of systems
biology outputs (Dr P Fraser)

Internal studentship funding is available for:-

• Antibiotic resistance in biofilms (Dr J McEvoy)
• Development of episomally-replicating mini chromosome lentivirus vectors
for gene therapy in mammalian cells and tissues (Professor G Dickson)
