The newly created TRAINBIODIVERSE European research network of Soil Microbiology, Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services seeks applications for Ph.D. and postdoctoral research positions from ambitious early career individuals. 

TRAINBIODIVERSE represents an unparalleled research initiative in soil biodiversity, microbiology and ecosystem service evaluation intended to secure the future of human wellbeing and agriculture in the European Union. 

This unique network of European research institutions is collaborating on an international training network to further the careers of Ph.D. and Postdoctoral researchers training in soil microbiology, biodiversity and the economy of European ecosystem services through use of state of the art molecular biological techniques and economic evaluation. Researchers integrated into the consortium will receive the opportunity for training and exchange within the 15 European partners. The consortium encompasses a vast range of excellent laboratory and research facilities. As such the network will provide a unique intellectual environment for conducting world-class research and for training the next generation of scientists for a wide range of careers.
To create a European centre of research excellence 14 Ph.D.s and 5 Postdoctoral research fellows will be employed. 

A highly competitive salary will be provided complemented by an excellent family and mobility allowance and national weighting. The consortium wishes to receive applications by early-career individuals with established or growing international ambitions for research excellence intending to become leaders in their fields.

Collaboration sharing of knowledge and training between the fellows will be actively promoted throughout the network and applicants are expected to contribute significantly to international exchange.
