The Division of Imaging Sciences and Biomedical Engineering is at the forefront of research, development, education and training in all aspects of medical imaging.
A qualification from the Division of Imaging Sciences and Biomedical Engineering will equip you to join the next generation of interdisciplinary scientists and clinicians taking medical imaging forward.

Students will undertake both academic and practical study in an environment of excellence, learning from the best scientists and clinicians from around the globe.
The Division offers four postgraduate degree programmes: 

Radiopharmaceutics & PET Radiochemistry, MSc 

This MSc will equip you to design and develop radiopharmaceuticals labelled with gamma-emitting or positron-emitting radioisotopes, and to produce them daily in the radiopharmacy for scanning patients. This is an ideal degree for graduates in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Physics, Radiography or Biosciences. 

Nuclear Medicine: Science & Practice MSc/Dip/Cert 

This programme is unique in the UK, and is suitable for qualified doctors and technologists working in the field of nuclear medicine. The Diploma and Certificate programmes are also open to other nuclear medicine health care professionals. 

Medical Engineering & Physics, MSc 

This multi award winning programme will provide you with a solid background in the physics and engineering of medical technology, as well as the design, maintenance and quality control of medical imaging equipment. 

Medical Imaging Sciences, MRes 

This programme aims to provide graduates of chemistry, physics, computing, mathematics, biology, pharmacy or medicine, with advanced training in the imaging field. Intended mainly as preparation for a PhD, but also serves as training for employment in hospitals and industry. 

Funding Information: The Medical Imaging Sciences MRes has MRC studentships available. Studentships are available on a competitive basis. These include tuition fees (Home/EU) and/or stipend. Please apply for the studentships online via the apply now button by 9th May 2012.
