NIHR Research Methods Fellowship Opportunities

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) invites applications for NIHR Research Methods Fellowships. These Fellowships have been funded as part of the NIHR Research Methods Programme, which aims to boost research capacity and capability in the areas of medical statistics, health economics, clinical trial design, operational research and modelling. Funding has been awarded to 12 NIHR Senior Investigators to recruit and host a NIHR Research Methods Fellow.

NIHR Research Methods Fellowships are aimed at highly-talented individuals who are either in their early post-graduate career or returning to the work place after a career break and who are looking to change the focus of their career. The Fellowships will provide 2 years of dedicated time for the Fellow to undertake structured methodology training and gain research experience in a high-quality environment. Fellows will be expected to pursue a relevant Masters degree or training (short courses) dependent on their training needs and where appropriate prepare and submit an application for a Doctoral Research Fellowship.

Recruitment will be conducted and managed by the individual institutions in which the NIHR Senior Investigators are based. Further details of the Fellowships available including contact details for each NIHR Senior Investigator hosting a Fellowship can be found at www.nihrtcc.nhs.uk.
