An expert system service for the evaluation and application of water resource saving solutions Riva Global Ltd, in partnership with the University of Liverpool, seeks to develop and expand its services and approaches to water resource and energy management technologies, through the development of a sophisticated water auditing technology. We are seeking an enthusiastic graduate with experience of water resources generally and preferably some experience of programming, a good upper second class degree, or better, in the environmental sciences, computer sciences, civil engineering or numerate marketing. Previous experience of working in partnership between industry and academia would be advantageous.

Centre for Global Eco-Innovation
This PhD is one of 50 industry-led funded PhD projects from the Centre for Global Eco-Innovation. The centre brings together the expertise, resources and global contacts of Lancaster University and the University of Liverpool, together with international commercialisation consultancy Inventya Ltd. The aim of the centre is to form collaborative R&D partnerships to enable and drive innovation in businesses, supporting the development of new products, processes and services for the global marketplace that have positive environmental benefits.
By joining the centre you will receive £16,000 per year as a centre graduate, have your postgraduate tuition fees paid for by your partner business (worth £12,000) and finish in a strong position to enter a competitive job market in the UK and overseas. The Centre for Global Eco-innovation is the only centre of its kind in Europe and is part financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
