BBSRC Quota PhD Studentships in Animal Welfare and Behaviour, Infection and Immunity and Matrix Biology

Applications are invited for one or more BBSRC Quota PhD studentships to commence in October 2010 in the Department of Clinical Veterinary Science, Faculty of Medical & Veterinary Sciences.

The Department provides a unique environment for interdisciplinary research in animal health, welfare and food science attracting both biology and veterinary graduates. PhD projects are available in the areas of Animal Behaviour and Welfare, Infection and Immunity, and Matrix Biology.

Applicants are advised to look at this list, discuss those projects that interest them with the principal supervisor, and select the project that they wish to apply for.

Applicants will be expected to have at least a 2:1 degree in a scientific subject relevant to the project areas, and to supply a personal statement (max 500 words), a CV and the names and contact details of two academic referees.
