Faculty of Medicine


The Faculty of Medicine is offering nine fully funded MRC PhD studentships with £17,500 pa stipend, to start in October 2010. Additional funding is provided for a six month writing up period.


Applicants can choose a 4 year programme, including a wide choice of masters degree courses for year one, followed by the PhD. For those who already have a relevant masters degree, 3 year PhD studentships are also available.


All students will belong to the Graduate School of Life Sciences and Medicine, which provides a comprehensive Transferable Skills Programme and has received the Times Higher Award for Outstanding Support for Early Careers Researchers in 2006 and 2008.
