The course taps into the range of expertise across the Centre for Conservation Ecology & Environmental Change, with core skills in geo-informatics, conservation ecology and environmental management.
The core course content revolves around Research Methods, Field Skills, Extended Research Project and a Professional Placement; whilst you must also choose one option out of the following:

In the School of Conservation Sciences we use different learning methods from individual tutorials to formal lectures and practical sessions with a range of group sizes. Course-work is modelled on the types of tasks professionals in the field would undertake and includes the production of professional reports, empirical evaluations, team projects, and oral presentations. Professional skills are developed through group work, interaction with practitioners and via a work placement.
Located on BU’s Talbot Campus, the School of Conservation Sciences has excellent laboratory and computer facilities with high analytical equipment and a spatial analysis suite for geographical information systems, and earth observation.
